Brewery-goers stranded after car stuck on train tracks near Tacoma waterfront

A car was stuck on train tracks near the waterfront in Tacoma on Thursday night.

Officers were dispatched at 8:54 p.m. to South 19th Street for a vehicle struck on train tracks. Trains reportedly stopped, and the vehicle was not struck, Tacoma Police Department spokesperson officer Shelbie Boyd told The News Tribune via text.

Boyd said the vehicle was towed away, and no injuries were reported.

Tacoma Fire personnel were dispatched and on scene for not long, according to department spokesperson Chelsea Shepherd.

Many people were stuck at Narrows Brewing as the only way for people’s cars to get out was across the train tracks, according to a Reddit post.
