Motorcyclist killed in Saturday collision on South Tacoma Way, police say

A motorcyclist died Saturday following a chain-reaction collision on the 6400 block of South Tacoma Way, according to Tacoma police.

The initial report came at 4:36 p.m, said police spokesperson Shelbie Boyd. The motorcyclist, an adult male, rear-ended a car, “fell from bike and was struck/killed by oncoming vehicle,” Boyd told The News Tribune.

As of 6:45 p.m., traffic on South Tacoma Way was blocked in the area as the investigation continued.
