Two-car crash in Tacoma injures three people — causing driver faces arrest

A two-car crash in Tacoma injured three people and damaged a third vehicle Saturday, according to Tacoma police. The causing driver is headed to the Pierce County Jail after a hospital evaluation, said police spokesperson Shelbie Boyd.

The initial report came at 6:25 p.m. at the 3800 block of Pacific Avenue. Two cars crashed, and a third car, parked and unoccupied, was damaged, Boyd said.

The suspected causing driver, an adult male, struck another car with Two passengers in the car that was struck were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. A passenger in the causing car was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The causing driver faces arrest on suspicion of DUI and vehicular assault, Boyd said.
