Donations for the family of a Chambers Bay official killed in the weekend windstorm reached about $46,000 Tuesday.
The GoFundMe campaign online is to support 36-year-old Jamie Fay’s wife and children.
Fay, the director of sales and marketing and assistant general manager at the University Place golf course, died after a tree fell on his station wagon Saturday in Gig Harbor.
“All of KemperSports and Chambers Bay were deeply saddened over the weekend with the news of the unfortunate passing of long-time member of the KemperSports’ family, Jamie Fay,” KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner said in a statement Monday.

Skinner said Fay started his career at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon before coming to Chambers Bay. He worked for KemperSports for 15 years.
“Jamie will forever be remembered for his ever present smile, infectious sense of humor and great outlook on life,” Skinner said. “He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father and friend to all he met.
“His wit and charm will be missed greatly. We are all fortunate to have known him.”
He’s survived by his wife, Jen, and two young daughters, Eilee and Elise.
