What’s open, what’s closed the day after Thanksgiving
For South Sounders trying to run errands the day after Thanksgiving, here’s a list of what’s open and what’s closed Friday (Nov. 27):
▪ Pierce Transit buses will run on a weekday schedule.
▪ Sound Transit routes 510, 511, 512, 513, 522, 532, 535, 540, 542, 545, 550, 554, 555, 556, 560, 566, 567, 574, 577, 578, 586, 580, 590, 592, 594, 595 and 596 will run on a weekday schedule.
▪ The Tacoma Link will run on a weekday schedule, and Sounder trains will have limited service.
▪ Post offices will be open.
▪ Banks will be open.
▪ Pierce County and Tacoma city offices will be closed.
▪ The Tacoma landfill and recycling center at 3510 S. Mullen St. will be open. Crews will collect garbage from customers who usually have Thursday pickups. Customers whose garbage usually is picked up on Fridays will have it picked up Saturday.
▪ Tacoma libraries will be open. Pierce County ones will not.
