House fire injures Orting-area homeowner

A homeowner was taken to a hospital late Thursday after a house fire near Orting, firefighters said Friday.

Orting Valley Fire & Rescue said crews responded about 9:45 p.m. to the fire in the 17300 block of 146th Avenue East.

The agency later said the fire was out, the house was a total loss and the homeowner was taken for burn treatment.
