Point Defiance Zoo visitors can see clouded leopard cubs Friday

The newest batch of clouded leopard cubs can be seen starting Friday (April 22) at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma.

The three cubs, born March 30, can be seen during feedings at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the zoo’s cub den.

Keepers learned Sang Dao, 3, was pregnant in March. Tien, also 3 and born in Tacoma, is the father. Both are first-time parents.

Of the 116 clouded leopards in North American zoos, 12 reside in Tacoma.

Quadruplet cubs were born at the Tacoma zoo last year; two were sent to a zoo in Kansas and two still live at Point Defiance.
