One man died and two others were critically injured Friday after an SUV struck two motorcycles on state Route 410 near Greenwater, the Washington State Patrol reported.
The collision happened about 11:50 a.m. on Route 410 near milepost 33.
Two men were eastbound, riding next to each other with a third motorcyle in their group, when an SUV heading west crossed the center line and struck all three motorcyclists, Trooper Rick Johnson said.
One of the motorcyclists, a 60-year-old Bothell man, was pronounced dead at the scene. One of the other motorcyclists and the driver of the SUV were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with critical injuries. The third cyclist was not hurt.
Johnson said the driver of the SUV appears to have suffered a medical emergency.
