A 40-year-old woman driving in South Hill plowed her SUV into the side of a building Tuesday, flipped upside down and hit two cars in a coffee shop drive-thru.

No one was seriously hurt.

Investigators with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department believe the woman was under the influence of drugs when she crashed about 11 a.m. at 132nd Street East and South Meridian Street.

She was traveling north on Meridian when she lost control of her SUV, went over the curb and shrubbery, and hit the building, Central Pierce Fire spokesman Guy Overby said.

Two cars waiting in the drive-thru were damaged.
