Superhero Training Camp set for Saturday at Gig Harbor Library

Villains beware! Superheroes are invited to gather together Saturday (Aug. 22) at the Superhero Training Camp to test their skills and celebrate the end of the Gig Harbor Library summer reading program.

Superheroes ages 9 to 12 are invited to drop in to the camp anytime between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The event will feature a variety of activities including a mask-and-cape-making area, a coloring table and snacks, said Youth Services librarian Holly Smith.

An obstacle course will test superhero skills with a suction cup bow and arrow, a maze and tunnel and a cardboard-box wall to kick down.

“It’s a fun, wrap-up finale of our superhero summer reading program,” Smith said.

The camp will be held at the Gig Harbor branch of the Pierce County Library, 4424 Point Fosdick Dr NW.
