Second Saturdays event series at Key Center Library provides free activities

The Second Saturdays event series at the Key Center Pierce County Library will provide free activities for all ages through the month of December.

Learn how to paint with alcohol ink painting techniques by creating a tile to take home. Two event times are scheduled: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 10).

At the Book Hack event, turn something old into something new! Transform a used book into a notebook or journal. Set for 2:30 p.m. Nov. 14.

Get into the Christmas spirit by building Gingerbread Houses. Supplies will be provided to create your own holiday houses. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 12.

The free events are sponsored by the Friends of the Key Center Library. Space is limited and pre-registration is required online at piercecountylibrary.org/calendar.

All events will be held at the Key Center Library, 8905 KPN, Lakebay.
