New urgent care center now open in Puyallup
MultiCare has opened a new urgent care center at the campus of Good Samaritan Hospital.
This walk-in clinic, located at 220 15th Ave. SE, is open seven days a week from 2 to 9:30 p.m. and provides services for patients seeking urgent health care assistance for issues including allergies, cold and flu symptoms, scrapes or minor cuts and sore throats.
“We know that patients want convenient options for where they get their medical care and this new urgent care location offers access when they need it,” said Julie Stroud, MD, Urgent Care medical director. “We are excited to add these services for our patients in East Pierce County.”
The demand for medical services including emergency and urgent care in the East Pierce County region is growing. The Good Samaritan Emergency Department is the busiest in Pierce County and among the busiest in the state. This new urgent care location will help address the increased demand for services.
The center will be staffed by board-certified physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
