Dinosaurs will roam Puyallup the weekend before Christmas. Here’s what you should know

An interactive dinosaur exhibition is coming to Puyallup for one weekend only.

Jurassic Quest will be at the Washington State Fair, showcasing “the nation’s biggest herd of photorealistic dinosaurs,” according to a news release from Jurassic Quest.

The exhibition will run from noon to 8 p.m. Dec. 15, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 16, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 17 in the Americraft ShowPlex Exhibition & Conference Center at the fairgrounds, 110 Ninth Ave SW.

Tickets can be purchased online at jurassicquest.com or onsite. Children under 2 get in free.

An unlimited admission ticket for children ages 2-10 costs $36. It offers unlimited access to dinosaur rides, Jurassic jeep rides, fossil digs, most dinosaur inflatable attractions and one visit to an excavation station.

A standard admission ticket for children ages 2-10 costs $22. Tickets for rides and activities may be purchased onsite.

General admission for those ages 11-64 is $22. Senior admission for those 65 and up is $19.

At the event there will be live dinosaur shows, a soft play area, bounce houses and photo opportunities, according to the news release. The animatronic herd will have two new additions: the Utahraptor and Giganotosaurus.

“The Jurassic Quest herd of animatronic dinos – from the largest predators to playful baby dinos – are displayed in realistic scenes with some that move and roar, allowing guests to experience them as they were when they roamed Earth millions of years ago,” Jurassic Quest wrote in its news release.

Jurassic Quest works with paleontologists so that each dinosaur is replicated in detail, according to the news release.
