Fire at Bonney Lake High School gym is being investigated by East Pierce fire marshal
Firefighters responded to a fire at the Bonney Lake High School gym early Sunday morning.
East Pierce Fire & Rescue crews found an outside wall of the building ablaze just after 1 a.m.
“The quick actions of the crews had the fire out within minutes of arrival and stopped it from extending inside the structure,” the agency posted on social media. “No injuries are reported.”
The agency’s fire marshal is investigating the cause.
East Pierce Fire & Rescue spokesperson Dina Sutherland did not immediately respond to The News Tribune’s request for an update on that investigation Monday morning.
