A “very polite” and possibly experienced bank robber with fake facial hair robbed a Lakewood bank Tuesday, and police are trying to identify him.
The man, estimated to be in his early 20s, held up the KeyBank branch in Lakewood Towne Center about 11 a.m.
He gave a teller a note demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No vehicle was seen leaving the area, so police believe he was on foot.
The robber tried to disguise himself by changing the color of his hair and attaching fake facial hair to his chin, police said. He wore a blue sweater over a button-up shirt.
He was “very polite,” according to police.
Detectives believe the robber has held up three banks in Skagit and Snohomish counties. Police in those areas described him as 6 feet and slender with short, brown hair.
Anyone who has information on the man’s identity is asked to call 911.
