Tacoma police arrested a man Thursday night after he was acting suicidal and threatening law enforcement officers.
Negotiators were called to a house in the 1700 block of North 17th Street in Tacoma’s North End neighborhood after the man claimed he had a weapon and wanted to shoot officers, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.
The department’s SWAT team was at the house as negotiators talked with the man, she said.
At one point, a female was in the house too, but left, Cool said.
