Tacoma police are searching for a man believed to be involved in three burglaries targeting senior citizens.
A Crime Stoppers bulletin says the man is believed to be responsible for burglaries on June 6, July 16 and Aug. 6 in Tacoma.
Police gave a summary of the June 6 incident at the Tahoma Terrace Apartments on Union Avenue. The victim was a 90-year-old woman.
“The suspect posed as a maintenance worker and told the victim he was there to sweep the patio; the suspect entered the victim’s apartment and stole jewelry, cash, a cellphone and prescription medications,” the police bulletin states.

“The suspect approached several other residents and told them he was there to service their air conditioning.”
Police are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and charge of the suspect. The Crime Stoppers hotline is 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). All callers remain anonymous.
