An argument over rent money led to the deaths of two Lakewood men Monday night, police said.
Neither man has been identified, but they lived together at a mobile home park in the 6500 block of 150th Street Southwest.
Detectives believe the deaths were a homicide-suicide.
Someone called 911 about 10:15 p.m. to report that a friend had called asking for help hiding his roommate’s body.

“The suspect said he made a mistake and killed his roommate during a dispute over rent money,” Lt. Chris Lawler said. “He asked for help hiding the body and when (the friend) refused, he said he was going to kill himself.”
The friend called 911 and relayed the conversation. It took officers roughly 15 minutes to find the home since the caller didn’t know the exact address.
A SWAT team was called out but was unable to make contact with the suspect.
When they finally entered the home, they found a 49-year-old man dead from multiple gunshot wounds. A 47-year-old man was also found from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Police were last called to the home in April for a mental health check of the suspected shooter because he was despondent over breaking up with a girlfriend, Lawler said.
The investigation is ongoing.
