Police seek pedestrian who was hit by Tesla, then ran off

Bellevue police are seeking a pedestrian who was hit by a car and ran off.

Apparently, it can be a hit and run when the person who is hit runs off.

The incident happened Wednesday morning at 148th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Eighth Street, where it was captured on traffic camera footage.

The juvenile who was struck was carrying a skateboard while wearing a dark hoodie and backpack. He bolted across five lanes of traffic and was hit by an electric Tesla SUV in the fourth lane.

He got up and ran off.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Bellevue police at 425-577-5656.
