Shooting in Kent kills man, injures 2 teens. Victim fleeing scene struck by car

A man was killed and two teenagers injured after a shooting on Kent’s East Hill late Wednesday.

Police were called just before 10 p.m. to an area near 108th Place Southeast and Southeast 240th Street.

They found a 19-year-old dead at the scene, a 17-year-old injured from a gunshot wound and another 17-year-old injured after being struck by a vehicle while trying to run away from the chaos.

The victim has not been identified.

The two teens injured were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and are listed in stable condition.

A King County sheriff’s helicopter helped search for the shooter, but no one has been arrested. Several streets that closed overnight reopened by 6 a.m.

The shooting was prompted by a “dispute” and may have been gang-related, police said.

Officers continue to look for a blue Dodge Charger that may have been involved in the incident.
