A woman accused of killing her best friend told investigators she shot the Buckley woman after finding her in bed with her fiance, Prosser police said.
Amanda Hill, 35, was fatally shot early Saturday at her boyfriend’s birthday party on North River Road.
Police arrested Amy Brown, 36, who allegedly got a pistol and shot her best friend during an argument.
Several people heard the gunshot about 12:45 a.m. and called 911. Officers arrived to find Brown holding her friend in her arms. Hill was pronounced dead at the scene.
Brown was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter.
She allegedly told detectives the fight started after Brown found Hill in bed with Brown’s fiance.
After Hill started choking her, Brown told police she got a gun and shot her friend even though she didn’t feel like her life was in danger.
