A Pierce County man charged with repeatedly raping a young girl was caught in Cambodia after fleeing the United States four years ago.
Gilbert Greenwood, 62, appeared in Pierce County Superior Court on Tuesday on four counts of first-degree child rape and one count of first-degree child molestation. His bail was set at $1 million.

He showed her pornography first, then began molesting her several times a day.
Greenwood was arraigned in May 2013 and was released shortly afterward on $100,000 bail.
A warrant was issued for him after he didn’t appear for his trial in October 2014.
His family told detectives Greenwood was in Asia, but they weren’t sure where.
The U.S. Marshals found him in Siem Reap on May 30. After Cambodian officials deemed Greenwood “undesirable,” he was turned over to a federal task force and extradited to Tacoma on Monday.
