Man who shot videos in women's bathroom at Tacoma university is sentenced

A Tacoma sex offender who surreptitiously took video from a women's restroom at the University of Puget Sound will serve three years in prison after pleading guilty in Pierce County Superior Court.

Adam Randolph, 30, pleaded guilty to three counts of voyeurism and received a sentence outside the maximum range for the crime in exchange for prosecutors dropping seven other voyeurism-related charges against him, according to court records.

Randolph was discovered because women using the restroom at Wyatt Hall noticed his large tennis shoes in one of the stalls. He recorded women using the bathroom for a four-month period, starting in November 2016.

Campus security caught him with an iPod hidden in a toilet seat dispenser, and the device had eight videos of women in it.

Randolph also owes $3,300 in restitution to the Superior Court as part of the plea agreement.
