3 arrested in fatal shooting of Tacoma man as he sat in a friend’s car eating food
Three men have been arrested in the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old man as he sat inside a friend’s car in Tacoma.
Robert Doss II climbed into a friend’s Ford Explorer at the intersection of South 14th Street and L Street July 18, shortly before gunshots rang out.
He was eating food when he was shot, police said.
The driver, a 20-year-old woman, was also shot.
She was able to drive them to a local hospital, where Doss was pronounced dead.
The woman suffered minor injuries and was expected to survive.
She told police she was unsure why somebody would shoot at her vehicle.
On Tuesday, detectives arrested three men and booked them into Pierce County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder. They are expected to make their first court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
