Body discovered along Puyallup’s Riverwalk Trail. Police investigating

Puyallup police shut down a stretch of the Riverwalk Trail on Monday to investigate a suspicious death and a series of small fires, authorities and local news outlets reported.

“Please stay out of the area and off the trail at this time. There is police activity in the area,” Puyallup police tweeted at 6:53 p.m.

KIRO-TV reported that the fires were spread along a portion of the trail from the 1400 block to 1700 block of East Main.

A body was found at one of the scenes, the station reported.

Puyallup police reported that they were using a K-9 to search for evidence or suspects and that they were being assisted by a helicopter from King County.
