A gas line was ruptured about 2:25 p.m. Monday at a construction site in Tacoma, prompting the closure of A Street between South Ninth and South 11th streets, Tacoma Fire said.
The agency reported via twitter just before 3 p.m. that the underground natural gas line had been secured. There was a limited evacuation, and no one was hurt.
The line was damaged during construction at the site, Tacoma Fire said.
