Detectives trying to identify man who shot into Spanaway convenience store

Pierce County sheriff’s detectives are asking for help in identifying a man who shot into a Spanaway convenience store last month.

Nobody was hurt but the bullet narrowly missed two customers and an employee of the 7-Eleven store in the 17400 block of Pacific Avenue South.

The shooting happened just before 2 a.m. June 16 after the man went into the store to buy a pack of cigarettes.

After leaving the store, the man got into his truck and fired one shot through his front windshield. The bullet then went through a store window.

He was seen fleeing west on 174th Avenue South.

The shooter is described as white, in his 30s, about 5-feet-5 with brown hair. He was wearing dark blue jeans, a black T-shirt with a camouflage vest, a gold chain and a black baseball hat.

His truck was a late 1990s or early 2000s Ford F-150 with a tunnel cover and chrome rims.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
