Black bear spotted in Bonney Lake

Bonney Lake police are warning the public to keep an eye out for a black bear that’s been seen in the area.

The small bear has been seen in the past two days in the 7900 block of 214 Avenue East, and twice on Vandermark Road East, police said.

Officers ask the community not to approach, feed or harass the bear if it’s seen.

Any sightings should be reported to the Department of Fish and Wildlife as soon as possible at 360-902-2936, ext. 1, and if it’s an emergency, call 911.
