Firefighters battle brush blaze in Fife

A single fire engine assigned to a reported blaze in Fife on Sunday arrived to find a 200-by-400-foot brush fire that required backup, according to Tacoma Fire.

Crews arrived shortly after 4 p.m. to the 400 block of 56th Avenue East, where the fire was divided by a road. Officials called more firefighters to help, and the teams extinguished the blaze and kept the flames from reaching a nearby warehouse, Tacoma Fire said.

No one was hurt.
