Police seek missing Kent woman

A Kent woman with a mental capacity comparable to a young teenager has been missing since Aug. 9, police said Sunday.

Emilie Lorraine Zangara, 38, reportedly left her apartment in the 10800 block of Southeast 240th Street on foot, and hasn’t been seen since. She hasn’t had any contact with friends or family.

Zangara is described as white, 4 foot 10, 160 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

She was wearing a lavender hat and carrying a pink purse and childhood doll at the time she went missing.

She need regular medication, which she did not take with her.

Police think she may be with a 43-year-old transient named George Oberbeck, the department said in a release.

Anyone who sees Zangara or knows where she may be is asked to call 911 right away.
