Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash on SR 507

UPDATE as of 7 p.m. Trooper Guy Gill said all lanes are open. The State Patrol said in a release that the 22-year-old woman driving the motorcycle hit a vehicle stopped for traffic, and was ejected. She was wearing a helmet. Crews took her to Madigan Army Medical Center. Inattention caused the wreck, and drugs and alcohol were not involved, troopers said.

INITIAL POST: A motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a vehicle at state Route 507 and East Gate Road Wednesday.

Trooper Guy Gill reported the crash via Twitter shortly after 5 p.m.

He said East Gate Road was completely blocked as crews investigated at the scene, southwest of Spanaway.

Further details were not immediately available.
