Two men shot in Tacoma’s South End

Tacoma police on Saturday were investigating a shooting that earlier in the day sent two men to separate hospitals.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired at 2:10 a.m. in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 8600 block of South Hosmer Street, officer Naveed Benjamin said.

Later, one man arrived at Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The other arrived at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma and then was taken to Tacoma General Hospital.

The men, ages 22 and 30, were expected to survive, Benjamin said.

The shooting happened after a large fight, Benjamin said.

Police had no additional information.
