Lakewood crash injures 3; alcohol suspected

A 27-year-old woman is suspected of driving drunk and causing a crash that injured herself and two passengers Sunday in Lakewood.

The passenger with the most serious injuries was in stable condition, Lakewood police spokesman Chris Lawler said.

The vehicle collided with another about 11:30 a.m. near 114th Street and Military Road Southwest, glancing off an oncoming vehicle, he said.

The other driver was not injured.

Witnesses reported that the woman had been driving erratically, Lawler said.

Police expected to arrest the suspect driver after she was treated for her injuries, on suspicion of driving under the influence, vehicular assault, reckless driving, and driving with a suspended license.

She has a prior DUI, Lawler said.
