A fire destroyed an abandoned house in Kent Thursday morning, not long after police arrested a man neighbors reported was yelling from its roof.
The man was arrested for unrelated warrants about half an hour before the fire was called into 911, and he is considered a person of interest in the blaze, Kent Fire said.
Firefighters said he doesn’t appear to have a connection to the home.
The blaze started about 4 a.m. in the 20900 block of 124th Avenue Southeast. No one was inside at the time, and no one was injured.
