Man found dead on Tacoma railroad track identified

A man found dead Wednesday on a Tacoma railroad trestle has been identified as a 38-year-old Everett man.

Police were still trying to figure out what Cory Still was doing on the railroad tracks when a train hit him. The tracks are on a bridge in the 2200 block of 20th Street East in the Tideflats.

The train’s conductor called 911 after spotting the body. The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office believes Still died Tuesday night.

The case is still being investigated. Police said they do not believe Still committed suicide.
