A school bus driver was slightly injured Thursday after being shot with a BB or pellet gun, Tacoma police reported.
The incident occurred about 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of South 54th and K streets, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said Friday.
The driver was standing outside his bus when he heard someone calling from a nearby car, Cool said. He turned to see a male of unknown age pointing what appeared to be a gun at him.
The gunman fired a single shot that struck the driver in the forehead, leaving a “pinprick” wound, Cool said. The driver did not require medical aid, she said.

The driver said he heard laughter as the car drove away, Cool said.
The vehicle is described as a small gray car, possibly a Honda. Police are investigating.
