Loved ones have scheduled a memorial service for a Tuwkila firefighter who died in a motorcycle wreck over the weekend.
Jason Karwhite will be honored at 1 p.m. Saturday at River of Life Church, 10615 SE 216th St. in Kent. The ceremony is for family, friends and emergency services personnel.
Karwhite died when the 2007 Harley-Davidson he was riding Sept. 27 on northbound Interstate 5 crossed a line of the freeway and a truck hit him.
The State Patrol has not determined what caused the wreck, but said drugs and alcohol were not involved.

Karwhite joined the Tukwila department in 2005.
He’s survived by his wife and two children, ages 12 and 14.
