Home surveillance footage shows a person prowling around between about 11:50 p.m. Sept. 28 and 1:40 a.m. the next morning in the 1800 block of 31st Avenue Southeast, according to Puyallup police.
The family who lives in the home was asleep, and awoke to footsteps they heard on the roof. The homeowner banged on a window, which scared the burglar away, police said.
Officers searched the area, but didn’t find any suspects.
The video shows the burglar tried to get into the home multiple ways, before she fell off the roof and fled, police said.
Investigators think the burglar is a woman in her early 20s, 5-feet-five, white, with a medium build.
