Pierce County prosecutors have charged a Roy man with eight counts of dealing in depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct after several child pornography videos were found on his home computer.
The Washington State Patrol began investigating Owen Gerdes in January after a detective discovered the 27-year-old man allegedly was uploading child porn from the Internet.
Detectives tracked the IP address and went to a home where Gerdes was living with two roommates.
Gerdes was arrested after five videos and several images of child porn allegedly were found on his computer. He later was released.
