Pierce County prosecutors will not decide until Wednesday what charges to file against a Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier suspected of fatally shooting his wife in Lakewood last week.
Skylar Nemetz, 20, was to be arraigned Monday after being arrested Thursday for investigation of manslaughter in the death of his wife, Tarrah Nemetz, 19.
The Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said in a release Monday that the investigation was ongoing.
Skylar Nemetz’s attorney, Michael Stewart, did not object to the charging delay.

Tarrah Nemetz died after being shot in the back of the head while sitting at the computer, police said. Prosecutors said the weapon that killed her was an AR-15 rifle.
Skylar Nemetz reportedly gave detectives different accounts of the shooting, including that he pointed the gun at his wife and pulled the trigger but believed the weapon was unloaded.
He is being held without bail pending the charging decision.
