Fourth victim of Marysville school shooting dies

Andrew Fryberg, shot by his cousin last month at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, died Friday night, according to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The 15-year-old boy became the fourth victim of shooter Jaylen Fryberg to die following the Oct. 24 violence. Jaylen Fryberg committed suicide after opening fire on friends and family in the school cafeteria.

Andrew Fryberg’s family released a statement through Harborview.

“We express our thanks for the amazing support from the community, as well as from everyone around the world that have been praying for us all through this tragic event,” the statement read in part.

Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, 14; Zoe Galasso, 14; and Gia Soriano, 14; died previously.

Andrew Fryberg’s death came just a day shooting victim Nate Hatch, also 14, was released from Harborview. Hatch, cousins with Andrew and Jaylen Fryberg, was shot in the face.
