Federal Way SWAT team arrests man wanted in connection to robberies

A man wanted in connection to a couple robberies barricaded himself in an apartment before he was arrested Sunday, according to Federal Way police.

A Special Weapons and Tactics team responded to the 400 block of South 321st Street, and arrested the man about 7 p.m., police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said.

He was by himself, and no one was injured, she said.

Police said he’s wanted in connection to two robberies that happened Sunday evening, in which the perpetrator implied there was a gun.

He’s also suspected of a recent aggravated assault, and has a warrant for his arrest for theft, Schrock said.

Further details were not immediately available.
