Nearly two dozen seniors had to be helped to safety from an assisted living facility in Parkland on Monday after their building caught fire.
Central Pierce firefighters helped the 22 people after the facility at 321 116th St. S. caught fire about 11:30 a.m.
Crews quickly extinguished the blaze. No one was hurt.
Firefighters provided temporary shelter for the residents while they cleaned up and investigated the cause of the fire.
