Pierce County prosecutors on Monday charged a 17-year-old boy suspected in a home-invasion robbery in which a Lakewood homeowner shot and killed one of the intruders.
Qiuordai Taylor pleaded not guilty to first-degree manslaughter, two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree kidnapping, one count of first-degree burglary and five counts of assault.
He was ordered held in lieu of $3 million bail.
Police said Taylor, Duprea Wilson, 19, and Taijon Voorhees, 19, forced their way into a home in the 11000 block of Briar Road Southwest on Nov. 18.
They allegedly tied up the couple who lived there and ransacked the house before the husband freed himself and shot Voorhees.
The robbers then fled.
Voorhees later was found dead in the parking lot of a Federal Way apartment complex.
Taylor and Wilson are Seattle gang members who were looking for marijuana and cash, according to charging documents. Prosecutors believe the men targeted the wrong house.
Wilson pleaded not guilty last week to a dozen felonies related to the incident. He is jailed in lieu of $3 million bail.
