Lakewood business owner pleads not guilty to promoting prostitution

A Lakewood business owner pleaded not guilty Monday to promoting prostitution after undercover police officers said women were offering sexual favors alongside massages at her store.

Michelle Timson, 38, was ordered released on her own recognizance after being arraigned. She was arrested Aug. 22.

Two undercover officers made massage appointments with two women at Timson’s business via, according to charging papers.

The woman allegedly offered sexual favors in exchange for more money. The officers declined but returned later in the day with a warrant.

Timson admitted she offers sexual favors to clients but denied providing “full service sex,” documents show.
