Crews respond to fire at Foss High bathroom

Firefighters responded Wednesday to a blaze in a Foss High School bathroom.

The fire was contained to a garbage can, and was put out by a school district employee with an extinguisher, Tacoma Fire said.

Fire spokesman Joe Meinecke said it appeared someone intentionally set the fire about 2:15 p.m. at the school, at 2112 S. Tyler St.

The school evacuated when the alarm system sounded.
