A man in his 20s was shot during what appeared to be a robbery Wednesday in Tacoma, police said.
Investigators think the robber, also a man, demanded money from the victim shortly after 7 p.m. in the parking lot of apartments near Pacific Avenue and South 80th Street, police spokeswoman Lorreta Cool said.
The robber then shot the man in his 20s once in his side and fled in a car, Cool said, leaving the victim with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police weren’t immediately able to speak with the victim at length, who was taken to MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, Cool said, and it wasn’t clear if the robber was able to take any money.
