A car crashed into a pole Sunday, cutting power to about 1,800 people in the Hilltop area about 5:45 p.m., Tacoma Public Utilities said.
All but 75 had been restored, spokeswoman Chris Gleason said at 7 p.m.
Police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said three transformers blew as a result of the crash, cutting power between South Pine Street and South Sprague Avenue.
