Oregon homicide suspect arrested in Spanaway

A man wanted in a fatal shooting in Oregon was arrested Monday night in Spanaway.

Orlando Lee Pouncey, 29, is accused of killing his friend’s ex-husband Jan. 30 in Tigard, Oregon. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

The U.S. Marshals Office notified Pierce County sheriff’s deputies that Pouncey has family in the area and asked them to keep an eye out for him.

Deputies and agents went to a home in the 100 block of 163rd Street South about 6:35 p.m. and took Pouncey into custody.

He will be extradited to Oregon to face homicide charges for the shooting.

Pouncey was convicted in 2007 of fourth-degree assault in Pierce County.
