A 73-year-old Auburn man with dementia who went missing Wednesday was found safe Thursday in Tacoma.
The son of Douglas Thomas Sr. reported him missing about 7 p.m. after he walked away from his home.
Police were concerned because the elder Thomas has dementia and needs insulin to manage his diabetes. The man did not have money with him or a vehicle.
It was not immediately clear how he got to Tacoma or what he was doing there.
